Basketry Museum of the Roma
The Basket Weaving Museum presents a unique and multicultural collection of objects originating from various regions of Asia as well as from around the world. Its display cases feature woven vessels and baskets that highlight the global history of basketry, one of the oldest forms of human creativity.
The collection is continuously enriched with new acquisitions that reflect different techniques, materials, and cultural traditions. Among the exhibits are both utilitarian and decorative objects, such as fans, trays, and other woven items, which testify to the ingenuity and aesthetic sensitivity of the peoples who created them.
The museum is not limited to the presentation of objects; it also functions as a space for the study of folk art and the everyday life of different cultures, highlighting the shared needs and creative expressions of humanity through time.
