Herakleidon Art Museum

Herakleidon Art Museum

The Herakleidon Museum is a private museum founded in 2004 by Pavlos and Belinda Fyri and has operated as a non profit civil company since 2008.

It is located in a restored neoclassical building at 16 Herakleidon Street in Thiseio, one of the historic neighbourhoods of Athens.

The museum’s main goal is to explore the connections between science, art, and technology, and to promote a creative dialogue between mathematics, the natural sciences, and culture. Since 2018, it has hosted the permanent exhibition “EUREKA. Science, Art and Technology of the Ancient Greeks,” which presents achievements of ancient Greek thought through interactive exhibits and educational tools.

The Herakleidon Museum places strong emphasis on education, offering programmes for students of all levels in subjects such as mathematics, natural sciences, artificial intelligence, and archaeology. It also functions as a cultural venue for the wider public, hosting lectures, seminars, workshops, and artistic events.

Over the years, the museum has collaborated with universities and museums in Greece and abroad, and has received international recognition for its educational and cultural work. Since its foundation, it has evolved from a space for art exhibitions into a modern centre for the popularization of science and technology, with a strong focus on ancient Greek knowledge and creativity.
